Cartography spent eight days in the Great Plains of North America and attended some unique gatherings. The Annual Buffalo RoundUp, when herdsmen on horseback spur more than 1,300 American buffalo through the grasslands. The Black Hills Powow or wacipi, a social event where friends and families meet, camp and reconnect as tribal nations. The Beauty and The Beast Rodeo at Three-Mile Creek in Pine Ridge runs every Wednesday night in summer and is sold out.
